Eugene Jack Brewer, 77, of Naugatuck, W.Va., passed away suddenly at his home on Monday May 11, 2009. He was born March 8, 1932 at Pilgrim, Ky., to the late Jim and Solady Marcum Brewer.
Jack was a loving husband, dad and papaw. He loved his community, his garden and collecting pop cans. Jack was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Jean Brewer; brothers, Calvin, Luther Ray, and Wallace Brewer and sisters Mable Maynard and Ada Preece.
Jack is survived by his wife of 52 years, Anise Marcum Brewer; three daughters, Bonnie (Ralph) Preece of Riffe Branch, W.Va., Phyllis (Claude Jr.) Adkins of Elk Creek, W.Va., and Dreama (Jim) Kinser of Delbarton, W.Va.; grandchildren, Isaac Justin (Erin) Walters, Brandi (Brandon) Thacker, Megan (Dwayne) Justice, Dena (Byron Marcum) Branham, and Sylvia April (Leonard) Baisden; great-Grandchildrn, Isaac Conner Walters, Braydon Thacker, Alexis Baisden, Alex Baisden, Simon Baisden, and Jacklyn Justice; sisters, Louise (William H.) Marcum of Lovely, Ky., brothers, Tony (Emma) Brewer of Jacson, Mich., Howard Brewer of Lovely, Ky., and Joel (Martha) Brewer of Naugatuck, W.Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at the Little Dove United Baptist Church at Belo, Wednesday morning May 13, 2009 at 11 a.m.. with Elder James Maynard officiating.
Burial will follow in the Waldron Cemetery at Dens Branch, Naugatuck, W.Va.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening after 6 p.m. with special services starting at 7 p.m.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
