State Health Commis-sioner William Hacker said officials are awaiting further test results. Health officials said the man, who hasn’t been hospitalized, recently traveled to Alabama, which has reported four “probable” cases of the illness.
Department of Health spokeswoman Gwenda Bond said the Lexington man and his family are taking antiviral drugs and are voluntarily staying at home so that they don’t spread the illness.
Kentucky confirmed its first case of swine flu on Thursday in a Warren County woman who is hospitalized in Georgia. The CDC is checking a second “probable” case detected in an infant by the Barren River Health District.
