Dear Editor,

On April 3 of this year at the Larry Joe Harless Community Center, we played the Eleventh Annual Twin Rivers I Pepsi Classic Basketball Game.

As usual, the games were a delight to be presented. The girls game and the boys game were close to the end and the players were pure class.

As in the past 10 Classics, the coaches were trying to put together the right combination for the last eight to 10 minutes of the competition.

We have always had support from community leaders around the county to help with hospitality room for the players, coaches and media. Those contributing for the 2009 contest were Harold Davis, Bank of Mingo, Dr. Endicott, Greg ‘Hootie’ Smith, Hannah Lumber, and Dr. Beckett. On behalf of the players and coaches we say, “Thank You”.

The winners of the 3 - point shoot-out were Corey Harshberger of Wayne High School and Megan Thomas from Gilbert High School.

Anyone wishing to purchase a video fo the games may contact Jimmy Bragg at Gilbert, 304 664 2158.

Respectfully,

Dan Browning

Director of Activities
