The Bar said Tuesday it discovered the security breach recently while its Web site was being upgraded. The Bar says all personal information on its network is potentially compromised.
This information includes members’ names, mail and e-mail addresses, lawyer identification numbers, and the Social Security numbers of some members and former members.
The Bar says there’s no evidence of identity theft or fraud. But it’s advising members who have concerns to ask credit reporting agencies to place a fraud alert in their files.
The Web site was taken offline April 17 and a new one will be built to replace it.
