Bill Parsley, 56, of Lenore, W.Va., passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2009, at Williamson Memorial Hospital in Williamson, W.Va. Born July 26, 1952 in Mingo County, W.Va., he was a son of the late Hoover and Vicie Parsley Maynard.

He was also preceded in death by a special grandmother, Emma Parsley.

Bill was a truck driver and a member of the Living Stone Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Parsley of Lenore, W.Va.; as well as her sons, Billy Jack (Jessica) Parsley of Lenore, W.Va., and Roger (Michelle) Stroud of Kermit, W.Va.; daughter Emma (William) Delong of Lenore; and grandkids, Taylor Parsley, Candace Parsley of Kermit, Heather Delong, Makayla Delong of Lenore, BJ Parsley of Lenore, Hannah Stroud, Christian Stroud, and Braxton Maynard of Kermit, W.Va. Surviving brothers and sisters are Raymond (Magie) Maynard, Ruby Brewer, Felix (Pete) Maynard, Carlene (Harold) Davis, Carlos (Tammy) Maynard, and John (Kim) Maynard, all of Lenore, W.Va.

He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 25, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Victory Christian Center of Lenore, W.Va., with Pastor Terry Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in the Newsome Ridge Cemetery of Naugatuck, W.Va.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m., Friday at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, Ky.
