Hillbilly Days is a boon to retailers in Pike County, but not all vendors made a profit last week; one business was shut down by authorities.

The Pikeville Police Department seized over 150 pills and a large amount of cash from Gary D. Warick, 42, of Prestonsburg, Ky., during a routine traffic stop Saturday morning.

According to a release by the PPD, Officer Scotty Hamilton conducted a routine traffic stop on U.S. 23 in front of Walters Chevrolet. The vehicle, a Jeep, was observed driving side to side, the statement said.

Police say Warick had 114 Roxicet tablets; 11.5 Percocet tablets, which are known to contain oxycodone; 32 Soma tablets and 12 Xanax bars.

Warick also had $1,792 rolled up in his pocket.

Warick was lodge in the Pike County Detention Center, charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, first degree, and other drug-related charges.

Five other persons who were occupants of the vehicle with Warick were also arrested on drug- and alcohol-related charges.
