Katie was a retired postal worker and very fluent in the art of sign language.
She was born June 23, 1925, to the late Tom and Lizzy Hensley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Nellie Cole, Florence Little, Ruby Marsh and Ceelene Fitch and a brother, Oral Thomas Hensley.
She is survived by a sister, Diolene Hensley of Kermit and a special brother-in-law, Jimmy Fitch of Kermit.
She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews and all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2009, at the chapel of Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, with Birdie Ray Williamson and Jesse Jay Spaulding officiating. Burial will follow at the family cemetery at Grey Eagle.
Funeral services are under the direction of Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home of Inez, Ky.
