Laurel Lake has new and exciting additions, and is holding dedication ceremony to coincide with West Virginia’s 150th birthday.

So far this year, the Mingo County Commission sponsored a floating fishing pier and is working on a shooting range and

Consol Energy donated $5,000 for playground equipment. The pool is up and running, and tourism signs have been installed.

The Laurel Lake Wildlife Management Area Foundation is hosting the dedication ceremony for all new additions today at Laurel Lake Park starting at 6 p.m. Following the deciation ceremony, there will be hot dogs, chips, and cake plus music. All this will be free.
