PIKE, Ky. — Work to repair an embankment failure on Ky. Route 3227, Joe’s Creek Road in Pike County, continues today. The location is between the 5 and 6 mile markers. Traffic will have to detour to get from one side of the work zone to the other.

Joe Stanley, transportation engineering tech III, Pikeville section, Highway District 12, said that the road will be closed until 3 o’clock this afternoon.

“We apologize for the inconvenience, especially since this is Easter Weekend and folks may have family coming in for the holiday. But we should be out of there by the end of the work day on Friday and at least visitors will have a safer road once this break is fixed,” Stanley said.
