Tug Valley Bass Anglers Carr Fork Lake Tournament
by JEFFREYREYNOLDS SPORTSEDITOR
HINDMAN, Ky. - On Sunday, June 2 the Tug Valley Bass Anglers held its fourth tournament of the 2013 season on Carr Fork Lake with a total of 26 anglers competing in the event presented by Perry Distributors.
Lynn Fields won the tourney with a catch of 14.91 pounds. He easily defeated the second and third place finishers.
Carr Fork Lake in Hindman, Ky was at summer pool with clear water on the entire lake. Water temperature was around 73 degrees.
Weather for the tournament was wet to say the least, it rained all day long, but with an air temperature around 75 degrees it wasn’t too bad.
The fishing was fair, the cloudy, rainy conditions helped since the water was so clear.
The fish were caught in 2 to 10 feet of water mostly on the main lake.
The main pattern for this tournament was to fish around steeper banks with top-water baits, soft jerk-baits and worms, basically something that resembled bait fish.
The top finishers are as follows.
1st —Lynn Fields —- (5 fish) 14.91 lbs.
2nd —Kevin Marcum—- (3 fish) 7.50 lbs.
