Roger Lee Hinkle, 65, of Taylorville, WV. went home to be with his Lord on Friday, April 3, 2009 at his home while surrounded by his mother and many family and friends. Roger was born Feb. 21, 1944 at Delbarton, WV. He was the son of Emma Paige Justice Hinkle and the late William Bill Hinkle. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Francis Hinkle.

He was a member of the Faith Church of God at Wharncliffe, WV.

In addition to his mother he is survived by five sisters, Shirley Hinkle, Brenda Ray, Patsy (Roger) Ray, Teresa (Butch) McCoy all of Taylorville, WV., and Kathy (Tim) Wellman of Varney, WV.; eight brothers, Curtis (Charla) Hinkle, Troy Hinkle, and Russell (Elaine) Hinkle of Michigan, Bill (Bridgette) Hinkle, Bruce Hinkle, and Terry Hinkle all of Taylorville, WV., Thurman (Wilma) Hinkle of Wharncliffe, WV., and Keith Hinkle of Mt. Olive, WV., a special nephew, Little John, and too many more beloved nieces and nephews to name as well as a huge host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m. April 7, 2009 at the Chafin Funeral Home, with Rev. Danny Ward officiating.

Burial will follow in the Justice-Hinkle Cemetery at Taylorville, WV.

Visitation will be at the Funeral Home Chapel Monday evening from 6-9 p.m. with special services starting at 7 p.m.

Pallbearers will be his beloved nephews, Michael, Dale, John, Gary and Gary jr. Ray, Brian and Allen Hinkle, and Brian Wellman.
