Lola Edith Baker, 83, of Lenore, WV formerly of Freeburn, Ky., passed away Monday, March 25, 2013, at the Pikeville Medical Center.
Born March 22, 1930, at Freeburn, KY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Vicie Ann Eldridge Francis.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Baker Sr.; two sons Roger Lee Baker and William “Billy” Baker Jr.; a son-in-law Sidney Plaster; two sisters Mildred Francis and Glorene Stiltner; five half-brothers Jack, Charlie, Strother, Thomas, and Robert Francis; and five half-sisters Fern, Lucy, Julie, Pauline, and Grace.
She was a homemaker and a dedicated and faithful member of the Church of Christ. She was currently attending the Majestic Church of Christ and had formerly attended the Phelps and Little Dove Churches of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters Wanda Plaster and Charlene (Larry) Harris both of Freeburn, Ky.; four grandchildren Michelle (Sam) Daughtery of New Market, Tenn., Teresa (Cletis) Kellione of Whitesville, Larry David Harris and William Sidney Plaster both of Freeburn, Ky.; eight great-grand children; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 29, at 1 p.m. from the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, Ky., with Church of Christ Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens at Huddy, Ky., with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the funeral home.
