Rosa Belle McGuire, 97, of Laurel Creek, passed away January 9, 2013, at her home.
She was born November 20, 1915, at Laurel Creek the daughter of the late John and Sarah Marcum Evans.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Otis McGuire; a son, Curtis Ray McGuire; daughter, Ersie McGuire; brothers, Moss, Dover, William Bud, James, Roy, Herald and Grover Evans; sisters, Victoria Evans, Ersie Evans and Florence Clark; one great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. McGuire was a homemaker and a member of the Laurel Creek Church of Christ and the Caney Church of Christ.
Those left behind to cherish her memories include her daughters, Opal (Bennie) Nichols of Laurel Creek, Charlene (and the late Ireland Bud) Noel of Beckley, and Darlene and husband Eddie Hatfield with whom she made her home with. She also leaves behind two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Chafin Funeral Home Chapel Saturday January 12, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Mike Smith and Minister Doug Curry officiating. Burial will follow in the McGuire Cemetery at Laurel Creek. Visitation will be at the Chafin Funeral Home Friday evening from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
