She was born October 16, 1918 at Merrimac, WV the daughter of the late Willie and Menda May Fields. She was also preceded in death by her Loving husband of 69 years, Jack Farley, a son, Jack (Jackie) Farley, six brothers, Chester, McKin-ley, Hassel, Happy, Hansel and Grat Fields and one sister, Gerildean Fields Duty.
Ethel was a homemaker, a loving Mother, Grand-mother and Great Grand-mother. She was of the Baptist and Pentecostal Faiths.
Survivors include a son, Bill (Sandy) Farley of Newport News, Va., their children and grandchildren; three daughters, Shirley (David) Hurst of Pataskala, Ohio, their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; Anna Mae (Har-old) Christian of McCarr, Ky., their children and grandchildren; Dinah (Her-man Haynes) Bevins of McCarr, Ky., their children and grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Farley of Frederica, Delaware and family; a step daughter, Francis (Chester Fields) Caudill of Chattaroy, WV., their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and her caregiver of 24 years, her granddaughter, Angela (Mark) Cook of Williamson, WV and two sisters, Hazel Whitt of Matewan, WV and Joy Mae Hunt of McCarr, Ky. she will be sadly missed by family and a host of special friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, March 23, 2009 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Cha-pel with Buddy Kendrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Julius Scott Cemetery, Hardy, Ky. Vis-itation will be after 6 PM Saturday and Sunday at the Funeral Home with special services both nights at 7 PM. Pallbearers will be Family and Friends. R. E.
