PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Belfry man indicted for drug trafficking by the October Pike County Grand Jury was arrested Monday by the Pikeville Criminal Interdiction Team.

Kendall Webb, 52, was arrested and lodged in the Pike County Detention Center on one count of first-degree trafficking a controlled substance, first offense, and one count of prescription controlled substance not in proper container.

Webb was listed in Wednesday’s edition of the Daily News in an article covering the 20 indictments handed down by the grand jury. He was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, oxycodone, and possession of prescription drugs not in a proper container.

According to a release from the Kentucky State Police, the arrest was a result of an investigation conducted by Troopers of the Post 9 Criminal Interdiction Team and Detectives from Operation UNITE.

The KSP’s Post 9 Criminal Interdiction Team responded to complaints of the illegal sale of prescription narcotics from within the business where Webb was working. Webb was contacted at the business and an undislosed amount of both narcotics and money were seized.

The incident remains under investigation by Tpr. Zachary Bryson of the KSP Post 9 Criminal Interdiction Team.
