H. TRUMAN CHAFIN
Gary Dean Coleman, 57, of Ransom, Ky., passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at the Pikeville Medical Center.
Born December 19, 1954, in Pike County, Ky., he was the son of the late Butler and Ocie Dotson Coleman.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers Jimmy, Cecil, Joe, Andy “Peanut,” and Don Coleman; and sisters Mary Eunice and Minnie.
Survivors include two sons, Aaron Coleman of Hardy, Ky., and Garret Coleman of Ransom; one daughter, Jamie Dotson of Hardy; two brothers Butler “Bee” Coleman of Taylor, Mich., and Jack Coleman of Onsted, Mich.; four sisters, Bonnie Madden of Dearborn Heights, Mich., Brenda Gail Biliter of Harold, Ky., Racine Bolen of Ransom, and Emily Phillips of Williamson; one granddaughter, Mika Dotson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 16, at noon from the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, Ky., with Elder Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman Cemetery on the Left Fork of Blackberry at Ransom, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with special services at 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home or to Gary’s sister Bonnie Madden to assist with final expenses.
