Sidney (Sid) A. Stafford, 69, of Varney, died September 25, at his residence.
He was born December 20, 1942, to Margaret (Tolley) Stafford of Piqua, Ohio, and the late Frank Stafford of North Matewan.
Sidney also is survived by three sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Budgie Davis of Piqua, Betty and Roger Sipple of Dandridge, Tenn., Lois and Mike Chappie of Piqua; and a sister-in-law Rosemary Stafford of Piqua; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Ruth Stafford of Marysville, Ohio, Roland Stafford of Taylorsville, and Harry Stafford; two special nieces Amanda Simmons and Barb (Jeff) Woodruff, and several other nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Stafford, Clarence Stafford and Paul Stafford.
Funeral services will be held at the Chafin Funeral Home Chapel Sunday October 21, at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the family cemetery at North Matewan. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday from noon until the start of the funeral. Online condolences can be made at ChafinFuneralHome.Com.
