Janet G. Marcum Noland, 75, of Columbus, formerly of Delbarton, died unexpectedly Monday, October 15, 2012, at Mt. Carmel Medical Center in Columbus.


A loving mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and friend, she was an associate of Crown Industries Inc., of Columbus. She was also a retired employee of Lucent Technologies, formerly Western Electric and AT&T. A devoted member of the Potter’s House Church of God, she cherished spending time with her loving family. She was a graduate of Burch High School in Delbarton.


She was born November 10, 1936, in Delbarton, to the late Floyd and Dorthalia Gore Marcum and was also predeceased by her siblings, Dicie Ferrell, Octavia Kirk, Lydia Miller, June Dempsey, William J. Marcum, Sr., Clifford Marcum and Harrison Marcum.


She is survived by her son, Bernie Noland, Jr. and his wife, Diane, both of Marysville, Ohio; three grandsons, Daniel, Dylan and Derek; two great-grandsons, Kaden and Chase; her siblings, Pearl Miller of Cassellbery, Fla., Connie (Johnie) Smith of Frankfort, Ohio, Dottie (Daniel) Head of Proctorville, Ohio, Minta White of Delbarton, Floyd Marcum, Jr. of Frankfort, Ohio, William (Nancy) Marcum, Jr. of Phoenix, Ariz., and Cal (Shirley) Marcum of Deland, Fla.; her brother-in-law, Grover Ferrell of Columbus; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.


Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Potter’s House Church of God, 3220 Lowell Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43204. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church and one-hour prior to the funeral service on Friday. Following the service, entombment will take place at Sunset Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
