LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The top teams in the Kentucky Associated Press high school football polls were released on Monday evening.
The Belfry Pirates are rated No. 5 in Class 3A this week, dropping one spot from their previous ranking after a tough loss last week to Ashland Paul Blazer.
Louisville Central remains No. 1 in Class 3A, while Breathitt County is No. 2, Bell County comes in at No. 3 and Bourbon County at No. 4. Louisville Central received 19 first place votes, while Bourbon County got the other first place vote this week.
Pike County Central also received some votes and the Hawks are just outside the top 10.
Belfry will travel to Lawrence County this Friday. Then they return home the following week to take on district rival Pike Central.
