Bridgett Ann Adkins Smith, 58, of Turkey Creek, Ky., passed away Sunday night, at the Appalachian Regional Hospital Emergency Room.

She was born February 16, 1954, in Williamson, W.Va., the daughter of Lodeen Pinson Adkins of Sidney, Ky., and the late Raymond Adkins.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Barry Smith.

Bridgett was a customer service manager at the South Williamson Wal-Mart having worked there since it opened. She was also a member of the Sidney Missionary Baptist Church.

Besides her mother, she is survived by two sons, Matthew and Nathan Smith both of Turkey Creek, Ky.; one sister, Rosalind (Eddie) Stanley of Pikeville, Ky.; niece, Natalie Stanley of Pikeville, Ky.; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 3, at 11 a.m. in the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Gary May officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens, Maher, W.Va., with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Tuesday, October 2, at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with a special singing and prayer service at 7 p.m.
