Dear Editor:

I have to keep reminding myself this from time to time, but I find myself reassured that God cares.  We all go through turmoil and trying times, some more than others, some worse than others.  It is far too easy to loose faith in him at times.  It can be hard to just let yourself fall back and know that he will catch you.  He will.

It can be far too easy to think that God does not care, that he allows all this turmoil to occur in our lives and favors those that make our lives unbearable, the users over the used.  I’ve thought that myself in my life and have always been wrong when I did so.

But the old cliché “Nothing worthwhile comes easy” is very true.  Sometimes it’s all we can do is hope to clench out teeth and hang on for the jarring rides this world continues to throw at us.  If we fall from the faith of God from time to time, give ourselves a break and start all over again, keep trying.  I’ll just bet God cuts us some slack.

Just batten down the hatches when your storms kick up and come raging into your lives and know that the storms will soon to pass and die down.  Peace will return to the forefront and with God’s help you can pick up the pieces and feel relieved that you survived.
