Charles Edward Sammons II “Charlie,” 33, of Huntington, formerly of Webb, passed away Wednesday August 29, 2012.
Charlie was born February 21, 1979, at Huntington, the son of Charles Edward and Judith Collie Sammons.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Joe Sammons; and his maternal grandfather, Junior Collie.
Survivors include his loving family, his parents Dr. Charles E. and Judith Sammons of Webb; his daughter Sophia Marie Sammons of Dunlow; a brother and sister-in-law Jason Elliott and Simone Sammons of Chicago, Il.; his paternal grandmother Emma Sammons of Kenova; his maternal grandmother Ruth Collie of Fort Gay; a niece Jaycelyn Sammons of Crum.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Revs. Wayne Meddings, Everett Meddings, Kimble Copley, and Ray Church on Monday September 3, at 11 a.m. at the Webb FWB Church Webb. Burial will follow in the Joe Sammons Cemetery at Webb.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, September 2, at Wilson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to the Charlie Sammons Memorial Fund in care of Webb FWB Church P.O. Box 255 Crum, WV 25609.
