A large fieldhouse crowd saw the Williamson Cubpack defeat the Matewan Tigers and the Burch Bulldogs defeated the Gilbert Lions in order to move forward to second round action in the tournament.

The tournament continues tonight at the fieldhouse with the action getting under way at 6:00 p.m..

In the first game tonight, Coach Larry “Giddle” Johnson’s Williamson club, fresh off last night’a victory returns back to the hardwood to take on Coach Okey Smith’s Kermit Blue Devils team. That tilt gets underway at 6:00 p.m.

Then, the Lenore Rangers write another chapter in their nearly century old rivalry against the Burch Bulldogs. That contest starts approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the first contest.
