CHARLESTON (AP) — A St. Albans man accused in the fatal shooting of another teenager during a turkey hunting trip will go on trial this spring.

Nineteen-year-old Andrew Scott Hardin pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Kanawha County Circuit Court to charges of involuntary manslaughter, wanton endanderment, negligent shooting and failure to render aid.

The body of 16-year-old Nicholas Lee Caldwell of St. Albans was found on April 29, 2008, by family members who went looking for him after he failed to return home. Police said both teens were wearing camouflage. Hardin told police he mistook Caldwell for wildlife.

Trial has been set for April 13. Hardin remains free on bond.
