WEST WILLIAMSON – With the help of some local business partners, there will be free swimming today and Thursday at the West Williamson swimming pool.

Today’s free swim day is co-sponsored by Dr. Steve Wilson Eyecare and Dave Hurley of Valu Tax, according to pool manager Barbie Hatmaker.

This Thursday, August 2, the free swim day is sponsored by Dr. Donovan “Dino” Beckett.

In addition, for the rest of the season, the ticket price has been reduced to $2 per person. That starts on Wednesday, August 1st.

The final day for swimming will be on Sunday, August 12. The pool and the party room over the bathhouse are still available for private party rentals.

Local residents are encouraged to come out and take advantage of the reduced ticket prices and the free swim days. School will begin soon, so there are not many days left to enjoy the local pool. The pool opens at noon to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
