Harry “Red” Clay Campbell, 79, of Phelps, Ky., died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009 at Williamson Memorial Hospital in Williamson, W.Va.
He was born Feb. 13, 1929, in Bluefield, Va., to the late Jack and Blanche Campbell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Joyce Campbell, and sister Jacqueline Wolford.
He was a steel worker.
Harry was survived by his son Harry Clay (Lesa) Campbell Jr., of Phelps, Ky.; daughters Joyce E. Campbell of Phelps, Ky., Jolene (Leroy) Casey of Bean Station, Ind., Donnette (Charlie) Frazier; brothers Roy (Shelby) Campbell of Phelps, Ky., sister Clara Wolford of Phelps, Ky.
He was also survived by five grandchildren — Amy (Danny) Crowe, Seth Frazier, Kayla Frazier, Austin Campbell, Cassidy Campbell — and two great grandchildren, Haley and Abbey Crowe.
Services will be held Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, at Phelps Funeral Services with Bro. William Conn officiating.
Burieal will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery at Pikeville, Ky. Pall bearers will be Ler y Castle, Charlie Frazier, Seth Frazier, Austin Campbell, Danny Crowe, Gary Thacker and David Wolford.
Visitation will begin Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009, at 6 p.m. at the Phelps Funeral Services of Phelps, Ky.
