She was born October 8, 1909 in Beech Creek, W.Va.., to the late Albert and Charlotte Varney Kennedy.
Besides her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband Geral "Dubs" Dean Maynard; brothers Brack and Alvis Kennedy; sisters Rose Blankenship, Altha Murray, Margie Shelton, Frances Murphy, Ada Lacy,and Minnie McKinney.
Survivors include her daughter Jane (Richard) Hodge of Burke, VA.; grandchildren Theresa Hodge, DeAnna Clayton, and& Orquida Ingraham; great-grandchildren Adam, Jonathan, and Laura Clayton.
Visitation begins at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday; February 10, 2009 at graveside at Mt. View Memory Gardens at Huddy, Ky.
