Members from five agencies met at the Williamson National Guard Armory this morning to round up the majority of offenders named in 59 indictments.

The indictments were part of the 69 returned by the January 2009 Mingo County grand jury due to an investigation primarily by four officers with the West Virginia State and Williamson City police departments.

More than 90 law enforcement officers and National Guard soldiers took to the snow-covered roads and flurried skies to bring in 64 accused of dealing drugs, according to West Virginia State Police Department's Sgt. John C. Dotson.

For a complete story and a list of those arrested, pick up tomorrow's edition of the Williamson Daily News.

Everyone is all excited about the drug bust in williamson, and should be its about time this town gets cleaned up, but most of the people who were arrested are not the main dealers, anyone who lives in williamson knows this,in a day or two the drugs will be flowing as normal, unless the main dealers are taken down, you have men who have been selling drugs on the upper part of vinson street for years, men who are buddies with law enforcement and people in office....right now you have men running for office that have sold drugs and help drug dealers hide their stash when a raid occurs....and lower vinson street is just as bad if not worse...I think the law enforcements should continue raiding but raid the right ones, then we'll see a huge change

You go TheJabezWoman! Williamson used to be a beautiful, sweet little town where people shopped downtown for more than just drugs. It was a place to be proud of with a high school that kicked butt and took names in its sports and band competitions. But as soon as Sam Kapourales--(spelling?..but who cares?) got in office it took a drastic turn downward on a real fast track. He is the next one that should be investigated. Since when does a mayor condemn buildings of historic recognition, buy the property and tear down the buildings, thus taking the history with it? This screams "CONFLICT OF INTEREST" to me.

So, Sheriff Hannah, "GOD BLESS YOU AND ALL THE OFFICERS" that have shined a million watt bulb on the low-life rats of the county(ies)... Now let's get the ones in higher places. Isn't Sam a pharmacist too...hmmmm. And wasn't there an attorney that killed a girl at the light in Goody, Ky at the foot of the hill of the mall with a pocket full of Loritab? What happened to him? Did this girl's death get vendicated? But what price do you put on a young or old person's life that has been beaten, raped or killed by a sottened drug user.

You that have thought that you have gotten by with your evil and murderous crimes...you wait...YOUR time is coming. Whether you like it or not or believe it or not; one day you will stand before a HOLY GOD and you will give an account. I am glad I don't walk in your shoes; no matter how tall you walk on this earth. Your knee will bow and your tongue confess that "JESUS IS LORD" and you can explain to Him your actions. God have mercy on your souls.

A SPECIAL THANKS TO: The National Guard, FBI, WV State Police, Mingo County Sheriff Lonnie Hannah, and even the Williamson City Police for a job that has just gotten started and I am sure will continue as long as one citizen has the courage to write their Senators and legistators for change. All their addresses are in your phone book.

I have to say I agreed with you. I don't live there anymore but it makes me sick when I come home cause my family still lives there. I try not be there the first part of the month. Cause you can't get down the street on 2nd av for the people getting thier drugs from the doctors there or at the new pramacy. It is enough to make you sick. All it is doing is killing our kids. Just ask me I know first handed. Kids are having babies and we as grandparents are raising them because of drugs. That is i think there is in Mingo and Pike counties. If they would also take alook at the veterens that sell their supply that they receive for free they would find alot of them suppling our kids also.
