The Blue Devil girls defeated the Burch Bulldogs 27 to 18. Kermit was led in scoring by Amber Linville who had a double double for the game with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Whitney Sturgell also had a big game with 8 points and 6 steals.
Burch was paced in scoring by Britanny Maynard with 6 points and Kennedy Curry, also with 6.
This is the best game that my girls have played all year and they are really happy and I am happy for them.” said Kermit Girls Coach Okey Smith. “We’ve been waiting for this type of game.”
The Kermit boys defeated Burch Middle’s boys 51 to 33 with Mikey Newsome leading Kermit in scoring with 15 points and Austin Brewer having a big night with 11 points, 9 steals and 4 rebounds.
Cody Runyon led Burch with 15 points followed by Marcus Cunningham with 13 points.
