Shirley Ferrell
Shirley Ann Johnson Lee Ferrell, 74, of Red Jacket, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at South Williamson, Ky., Appalachian Regional Hospital Skilled Nursing Center.
She was born March 21, 1937, at Sprigg, to the late Earl C. and Lula Roberts Johnson.
In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by sisters, Vera Murphy, Lauretta Cisco, Juanita Dehart, and Betty Mounts; brothers, Ernest S. Johnson and Clarence Earl Johnson; and a stepdaughter, Ginger Hensley.
Shirley was retired having worked for the Mingo County Board of Education.
She was a veteran in the army of the Lord having served as a member of the Apostolic Lighthouse at Lando.
She is survived by her husband, Wallace Junior Ferrell of Red Jacket; sons, Robert (Sheila) Lee, of Crosslanes, and Donald James Lee, of Delbarton; stepsons, George (Kim) Ferrell of Roanoke, Va. and Gary Ferrell, of Connecticut; stepdaughters, Susan Courtney of Williamson and Greta Ferrell of Hardy, Ky.; brother, Boyd E. (Fannie) Orrell; sisters, Betty Mounts of Palm Bay, Fla., Lula (Garland) Gallimore of Hillsboro, Ohio, Estelene Prater of Red Jacket, Margaret Smith of Moundsville, Al., and Joyce Blackburn of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Cassandra and Justin Lee, Madyson , Merisa, Anna, and Mathew Ferrell; Erica Courtney, Brandon Hensley, Candace and Caitlynn Parker; great-grandchildren, Tyrel Hollis and Bryson Lee.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 24, at 11 a.m. at Chambers Funeral Services Chapel
With the Revs. Jimmy Copley and Jimmy Fields officiating. Burial will follow at Ferrell Cemetery at Pigeon Creek. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will begin receiving friends on Thursday, February 23, at the Funeral Home Chapel from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a service at 7 p.m.

James Walker
James Edward Walker, 71, of Christian, died Saturday, February 18, 2012.
Born on May 16, 1940, at Elk Creek of Emmett, he was the son of the late Verlin and Elva Scites Walker.
Friends may gather with the family at the Pathway Church of God at Christian on Thursday, February 23 after 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 24 at the Pathway Church of God. Burial will follow in the Christian Community Cemetery at Christian.
