Born March 10, 1938 at Lamar, WV, he was the son of the late Allen and Sadie Morgan Cline.
Mr. Cline was a member of the UMWA, Baileysville Sports Club. He donated to many charities. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and ginsenging.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Elby Cline, a brother, Ivan Berlin Cline and a sister, Marie Toler.
Survivors include a son, Daniel Allen Cline, Jr. of Slaters Branch, KY; Two daughters, Carolyn Lyons and her husband, Roby of Hatfield, KY and Veleda Marcum and her husband, David of Hatfield, KY; 3 brothers, Cecil Cline of Peterstown, WV, Larry Cline of Sun Hill, WV, and Jack Cline of Clear Fork, WV; 2 sisters, Betty Hughes of Peterstown, WV and Dixie Blizzard of Indian Creek, WV; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Daniel’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 18, 2009 at the Sun Hill Independent Country Church with the Rev. Jay Blankenship and Rev. William Cook officiating.
Burial will follow in the Cline Family Cemetery, Sun Hill, WV.
The family will receive friends at the church from 6-9 p.m., on Friday and Saturday.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
