Ethel Tucker, 87, Roanoke, Va., formerly of Williamson, died January 13, 2009 at her residence.

Ethel was the eldest of five children born to the late Callie Morrison of Maj-estic, WVa. and Clarence Flood of Philadelphia, Penn., on January 15, 1921.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Hobert Tucker Sr. of Halifax, Va., Sisters Francis Richardson of Washington D.C.., Brother William “Billy” Morrison of Wheeling, W.Va., and Dorothy “Dot-tie” Gray-Tolliver, also of Washington DC. Daughter -in-law, Anna “Shug” Tuc-ker, and two grandchildren, Renita and Jessica Tucker. Ethel is survived by her one remaining and youngest sibling Rose Day of Logan, Wva. ; 8 children: Hobert Tucker Jr. of Logan, W.Va., Eugene Tucker of Wash-ington DC, Doris “Dottie” Riggins of Roanoke Va., Clarence (Ivy) Tucker of Roanoke, Va., Clara Tuc-ker-Clemons (Kenny) of Huntington WVa., Kenneth Tucker of Roanoke, Va., Roger “Lee” (Bonnie) Tucker of also of Roanoke, Va., and Marlene Tucker of Cincinnati, Ohio.; Ethel is also survived by 11 Grand Children: Ricardo Waddell of Los Angeles, California, Vivian “Lee-Lee” Branham of Columbus, Ohio, Harvey (Kim) Austin also of Columbus, Ohio., Alonzo “Bug” Riggins of Roanoke, Va., Dewmont “DJ” Vickers of Huntington W.Va., Malinda Tucker and Clar-ence “Dad” Tucker Jr., both of Roanoke, Va., Julian Moore Tucker of Hunt-ington, WVa.., Antonio “Tony” Tucker and De Andre “Puff” Tucker both of Roanoke, Va., and Callie “Lu-Lu” Tucker of Cincin-nati, Ohio. 4 great-grandchildren were also blessed to have Ethel be part of their lives: LeAndrea “Ms. Ann” Reynolds and Chris-topher “Tony” Harvard both of Columbus, Oh., Aja Austin also of Columbus, Oh., and Julian Tucker, Jr. of Huntington, Wva. Ethel also loved, and is loved, by a host of extended family and endless friends, including Mrs. Nancy Hunter and Family, Mrs. Bernice Ford, Pearline Dalton, Ella Mae Shepard, Francis Jacobs and honorary daughters Judy Thorn and Denise “Fern” Allen, and many others.

The services will be held at The Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Williamson, W.Va., on Saturday, January 17, 2009

Family and Friends viewing: 11a.m. - 1p.m.

Funeral Services: 1p.m., Intermit to follow services at Mountain View Memor-ial Park in Maher, W.Va.
