He was born July 9, 1937 in Pike County, Ky. the son of the late Jack and Alley Brown Williamson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Fern Scott Williamson, brother, Coney Williamson and sister, Janice Williamson. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the United Steel workers.
Survivors include his son, Benny (Mary Ann) Williamson of Gillette, Wy-oming, someone who was like a daughter to him, Margaret Royce of Sidney, Ky., his granddaughter, Ashley Adonia Williamson of Sidney, Ky., five brothers, George Ed Williamson of Cave Run, Ky., Ray Williamson, Buddy Wil-liamson and Woody Wil-liamson all of Sidney, Ky. and Hie Larry Williamson of Charleston, SC, three sisters, Betty Rose of Chat-taroy, WV, Ida Mae Reed of Williamson, WV and Lor-etta Young of Cave Run, Ky.
Funeral services will be at 12 Noon Saturday, January 17, 2009 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Cha-pel with Forb Scott and Buddy Kendrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Williamson Family Cemetery, Canada, Ky. Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday and Friday at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with special services both nights at 7 PM.
