Burch boys down Mt. Mission 59 - 46

The Burch Bulldogs were back in the win column Tuesday night as the homestanding ‘Dogs defeated Mountain Mission from Grundy by a score of 59 - 46. Burch jumped out to a 13-6 1st quarter lead and never looked back.

Ryan Hatfield lead the Bulldogs to a 26-18 halftime lead. The young Bulldogs put the game away in the third quarter with a 22-12 run, which Mt. Mission could not overcome.

Mt. Mission had the scoring edge in the fourth with a 16-11 score but the difference could not be made up.

Leading scorer for Mt.Mission was Emmanual Binyam with 18 points. Mt. Mission went to the charity stripe 15 times, making 9. They also finished the game with three 3 pointers.

With 17 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 blocked shot, Ryan Hatfield had the game well in control for the Burch Bulldogs. He was also 11 for 12 from the free throw line.

Also adding to the winning cause was Jacob Stratton with 11 points,8 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocked shots. Other Bulldog stats include Troy Starr with 9 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals; Corey Cook with 6 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals; Keith Hill with 6 points and 1 steal, before fouling out in the 4th ; Zac Runyon with 5 points, 1 rebound and 1 steal; Gabriel Vinson with 2 points and 2 rebounds; and Dave Hatfield with 3 points.
