NAUGATUCK, W. Va. - The 7th Annual John C. Preece Memorial Girls Basketball Tournament kicks off this Friday night at Tug Valley High School with the consolation and championship game being held Saturday.

The tournament, held to honor the legacy of the late former Kermit area teacher, administrator and coach John Preece, wil involve four teams playing over two days in a championship format.

On Friday, the tournament kicks off at 6:00 p.m. with the Tolsia Lady Fighting Rebels taking on the Williamson Wolfpack girls team.

Then at 8:00 p.m., the Logan Lady Wildcats will take on the host team, the Tug Valley Lady Panthers.

The two losing teams from Friday will meet on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the consolation game. Then at 4:00 p.m., the two winners from Friday’s contests will take on each other for the tournament championship.

The tournament has been hosted by Tug Valley High School and their girls team. Fr more information on tickets call 235-2266.
