Chad Abshire Staff Writer PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Authorities say a man was killed in a single-vehicle accident in the Greasy Creek community of Pike County on Saturday. According to the Kentucky State Police, Lonnie Keen, 69, of Shelbiana, was traveling East on Kentucky Route 3226 when his vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree. Members of the Belfry Volunteer Fire Department and Kentucky State Police are seen recovering a man's body that washed ashore from the Tug River on Monday. Speculation is that the body may be that of Chad Roberts, a Mingo County man who had been missing since January 3 and was last seen walking along the riverbank. The deceased was transported to the Commonwealth of Kentucky's State Medical Examiner's Office in Frankfort for identification purposes, where an autopsy will also be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
