Delmer Tomblin, who was already on parole, was one of four individuals arrested in a drug sting on Tuesday night in the Dingess area of Mingo County. Also arrested were Elizabeth Tomblin, wife of Delmer, “aka” Elizabeth Canterbury; along with Granville Vance and his grandsons Nathan “Whitey” Vance. Warrants were also issued for two additional defendants who are related/linked to the Vance family. A marijuana plant, two sets of scales and a variety of prescription pills and drug paraphenelia were discovered in the two homes during the arrests. This investigation was headed up by Mingo County Special Investigator Eugene Crum, WPD Chief C.D. Rockel and other members of the local law enforcement.
