Southern West Virginia Health System held a free health fair to celebrate of the grand opening of its new family health center in Delbarton.

“We are pleased to finalize the construction of our Delbarton health center and look forward to becoming an active part of this community’s good health,” said Lincoln Primary Care Center and Southern West Virginia Health System CEO, Brian Crist. “Southern West Virginia Health System – Delbarton represents the opening of our thirteenth location and is another important step in our goal of improving access to quality, affordable primary care to the people of southern West Virginia.”

Services offered at the clinic included blood pressure, blood sugar and Black Lung screenings, along with camp physicals.

Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with family medicine and family planning services being

The clinic is home to Delbarton native and board certified family physician, Ladonna Wolfe, DO.

“As a physician who has worked in another part of the state for several years, it’s exciting for me to return home and build a practice here,” said Dr. Wolfe. “I look forward to offering the families of Delbarton and its surrounding communities caring, compassionate and affordable care.”

In addition to seeing patients by appointment, Dr. Wolfe will also accept walk-in patients.

Affordable care is an important part of Southern West Virginia Health System’s mission. Its Delbarton operation is a Federally Qualified Health Center, and as such, it ensures the availability of healthcare services to all, regardless of a patient’s insurance status or ability to pay.

Patients will be offered a wide selection of payment options, including acceptance of private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, WVCHIP and West Virginia CONNECT. Qualified patients will also be eligible to receive discounted health services through the organization’s Sliding Fee Program and will have access to the West Virginia Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program and the Vaccine for Children program.

Southern West Virginia Health System and its lead agency, Lincoln Primary Care Center, together operate 13 FQHCs and school-based health programs across Lincoln, Logan and Mingo counties.
