The incumbent delegates representing Mingo County were handily reeelected by voters Tuesday night.

Democrats Justin Marcum (District 20) and Harry Keith White (District 21) emerged victorious with 100 percent of Mingo County precincts reporting in.

Marcum claimed a total of 3,574 votes, 68.47 percent of the county. His opponent, Republican Mike Baisden, got 1,643 votes, 31.48 percent. There were three write-ins.

White earned 2,658 votes from Mingo Countians, 81.09 percent, against his Republican opponent, Roger Stacy. Stacy came away with 619 votes, 18.88 percent. There was one write-in.

“Once again I am proud to serve the 20th district of West Virginia,” Marcum said. “I’m humbled by the faith the residents of this county have put in me. A lot of progess has been made, but we still have a lot of work to do.”

"I want to thank everyone for electing me one more time," White said. "I plan to represent southern West Virginia to the best of my ability."
