MATEWAN — Residents of the Town of Matewan are encouraged to attend the Utility Board meeting planned for this evening at 5 p.m., where they will be given a chance to voice their concerns over alleged increases in water and sewage bills.

The Daily News was contacted by numerous individuals on Monday who expressed feelings of displeasure regarding their latest water utility bill, and stated they plan to be at the Matewan City Hall for the Utility Board meeting to see if their questions can be answered and to find out if there’s a possibility of avoiding the rising costs they feel has put their families under an additional financial strain than before.

If you would like more information on this meeting or the Matewan Town Council meeting scheduled to follow at 6 p.m., you may call the City Hall at 304-426-4092.
