Staff Report

The Regional Christian (Middle) School basketball team of Delbarton recently won third place in the West Virginia Christian Athletic Tournament (WVCAT).

“We won our game tonight against Pipestem Christian by a score of 38-31,” said coach Andrew McDonald. “We finished third place and this is the first time we have placed in a state tournament in school history. “

In the win over Pipestem, Chris Muncy scored 10 points. He hit two game sealing free throws in the final quarter.

Donavan Kirk finished with eight points and earned All-Tournament and Isaiah Roblee finished with 12 points and also earned All- Tournament. Kavon Treleven finished with eight points.

Regional Christian had an outstanding regular season. They finished with a fine 14-2 record.
