Zelda Hensley

Zelda Hensley, 78, of Dans Branch Road, Williamson, went home to be with the Lord on

Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at the Trinity of Mingo Healthcare Facility in Williamson.

Born August 3, 1932, at Chattaroy, WV, she was the daughter of the late Mack and Sara Totten Little.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two children, Vivian Ruth and Charles Richard Hensley,; brothers, Donnie, William, Jimmy and Ernie Little; one sister, Helen Anderson and two grandchildren, Timmy Hensley and Tammy Hensley Jessie.

Zelda was a former cook with the Mingo County Board of Education. She was a Christian and of the Pentecostal faith. Zelda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family always.

Zelda is survived by her husband, Emory Abe Hensley; ten children: Alfred and Vicky Hensley,

Genoa, WV, Trish and Jesse Davis, Delbarton, WV, Brenda Pack, Lugolf, SC, David and Sheila Hensley, Dans Branch, WV, Carolyn and Larry Runyon, Delbarton, WV, Debbie and Glen Maynard, Breeden, WV, James Edward and Mary Hensley, Warfield, KY, Blanche and Jeff Ferris, Lenore, WV, Willie and Regina Hensley, Dans Branch, WV and Sandra and Marvin Colegrove, Lenore, WV. Also surviving are 22 loving grandchildren and 33 precious great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at the Little Dove United Baptist Church, Belo, Friday, February 4, 2011, and Saturday, February 5, 2011, from 6 pm to 10 pm, each evening. Funeral services will be at the church at 1:00 pm on Sunday, February 6, 2011. The Rev. Jimmy Maynard, Rev. Eugene Preece and Rev. Harrison Baisden will officiate.

Burial will follow at the Mountain View Memory Gardens at Maher, WV. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Weaver Mortuary of West Williamson is serving the Hensley family.

Lillian Lester

Lillian Lester, 87, of Hanover, died Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at the Logan Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Leatherwood, Jan. 14, 1924, a daughter of the late Compton and Laura Brook Runyon Browning.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, at the Mounts Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Lester Cemetery, Joe Point, Hanover.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with special services at 7 p.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Mounts Funeral Home of Gilbert.

Dwayne Lynch

Dwayne James Lynch, 45, of Deland Fla.; formerly of Beech Creek,died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at his residence.

Arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced by Chambers Funeral Services, Inc., of Matewan.

George Rose

George Robert Rose, 60 of Hephzibah, Ga. formerly of Canada, Ky. passed away Sunday night, January 30, 2011 in Georgia. He was born February 8, 1950 in Pike County, Ky to the late Heston and Susie Juanita Farley Rose. He was retired from the U. S. Army.

He is survived by his wife; Chong S. Rose, one daughter; Hanna Lee Rose of Charlotte, N.C., one son; Robert Eugene Rose of Spartanburg, S.C., four brothers; Elbert H. Rose of Canada, Ky. Herman Rose of Albany, Ky. Wayne Alfred Meade of Akron, Ohio and Joseph Wayne Meade of Columbia, S.C. two sisters; Vivian Sue Rose of Canada, Ky. and Nyoka Rose Stanley of Canada, Ky. One grandchild; Kamden Michael Rose of Spantanburg, S.C. and a host of loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Saturday February 5, 2011 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with Gary Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow at the Rose Cemetery at Canada, Ky. with family and friends serving as pallbearers. D.A.V. graveside services will be conducted by Belfry Chapter #141. Visitation will be after 6 P.M. Thursday night and Friday night at the funeral home with special services both nights at 7 P.M. R. E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, Ky. is in charge of arrangements.
