Matewan teacher, coach indicted

WILLIAMSON - The Mingo County Grand Jury has indicted a teacher on charges of sexual abuse.

James “Jimmy” Hiram Keatley II, is a football and basketball coach at Matewan Middle School.

According to court records, two juveniles are involved in the case.

Keathley is accused of two counts of third-degree sexual abuse and one count of battery against one student, and one count of sexual abuse against another student.

The indictment said both students are less than 16 years of age.
