The body of a Matewan man was recovered from Yatesville Lake yesterday.
Shawn Blackwell, 25, went camping with friends at the lake and went for a swim, but never came back. The incident was reported Sunday afternoon.
Crews searched the lake until 9:45 p.m. Sunday and resumed at 8 a.m. Monday morning using “side scan sonar” to locate Blackwell’s body. At roughly 3 p.m., he was found.
