CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A local woman is attending the Democratic National Convention, preparing to cast her ballot in the Presidential nomination process.

The Convention is Canterbury’s fifth, and she says. She said she voted for Clinton and Dole at her first convention in 1996.

“My favorite convention was in Boston in 2004,” Canterbury said. “That city just has so much history. But I always have so much fun.”

Toni’s daughter, Paula Gillman, accompanied to the current convention, which Toni says will be her last due to health concerns.

“There are things to do every day and every night,” Toni said. “There are luncheons and after parties, we definately go to those!”

Toni Canterbury is a Kentucky State Delegate. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Pike County Democrat Executive Committee, member of Pike County Housing Committee, and serves on Pike County Board of Elections.

The WDN is in bad need of a proof reader. Just read this article. Toni voted for Clinton and Dole in '96? How did she manage that? She may have voted for Clinton and Gore in '96, but she sure as hell didn't vote for Clinton and Dole! I am aware that we are at,or near, the bottom of a dismal heap in terms of our educational system, and it won't improve much while we are more concerned with athletics than academics, but you people are the press. Communication is supposed to be your business. These web articles are available to readers all over the world. No wonder folks tend to think of us as dumb-ass hillbillies. When I read a mangled article like this I tend to think of the WDN as "misprint media". I hain't gwine read no more atter this ifn youns don't get some book larnin!
