The home of Polly Hunt was destroyed in a fire Thursday near Elk Creek. Details were sketchy at presstime, but the home was engulfed in flames when Delbarton and Chattaroy Volunteer Fire departments arrived. A person driving past the home spotted the flames and alerted neighbors, who called 911. No one was home at the time of the fire, however, it is believed that four dogs died in the blaze. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
