MADISON – Several local teams will be playing in the Coalfield Shootout tournament in at the Madison Civic Center in Madison (Boone County, W.Va.) on December 15.

The Belfry Pirates will play Berwyck, PA on Saturday. The game is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.

Mingo Central is slated to play the host school, the Scott Skyhawks at approximately 9:00 p.m.

The Coalfield Shootout features all three high school boys basketball teams from Boone County, as well as other teams from the region including River View, Tolsia and Wyoming East. Besides the team from Pennsylvania, team from Ohio and North Carolina will also be a part of the event.

11:00 A.M. - Van vs Sherman

1:00 P.M. - Riverview vs Buffalo (Putnam)

3:00 P.M. – Wyoming East vs Tuscarawas Cath., OH

5:00 P.M. - Belfry (KY) vs Berwick (PA)

7:00 P.M. - Tolsia vs Flora MacDonald, NC

9:00 P.M. - Mingo Central vs Scott
