Belfry Middle School has three football players on the distinguished Team Kentucky and three more that will play in the East-West all-star game.
The three that plays on Team Kentucky are Cole Bentley, Austin Hall and Cameron Catron and they start practice this weekend.
They open up December 1 against Missouri in Elizabethtown, Ky. Team Kentucky is the top 35 players in the state. They do not play in the East-West game. If they win the first weekend, they play in Atlanta, Georgia the following weekend.
Belfry’s RayQuan Horton, Andrew Fletcher and Austin Woolum are on the East squad and they play Thanksgiving weekend.
The East-West all-star game picks 50 from the eastern part of the Bluegrass State and 50 from western part of Kentucky.
Fred Bentley, Cole’s dad, said he has the tax ID number if anyone would be interested in sponsoring a Team Kentucky player from this area.
