Morgantown – Approximately 119 Breeden and Lowney residents will connect to the Mingo water system per a $1.9m loan from Rural Development.
State Director Robert D. “Bobby” Lewis announces that Rural Development approved a Water and Waste Disposal Direct Loan in the amount of $1,986,000 for Mingo County Public Service District.
Rural Development funds will be used to construct approximately 27,000 feet of waterline to serve approximately 119 new customers in the Breeden and Lowney areas of Mingo County.
Lewis explained, “Residents in these areas currently rely on wells, cisterns and springs that generally provide water of poor quality.”
