MOREHEAD, Ky. - On June 29th the Tug Valley Bass Anglers held its fifth tournament of the 2014 season on Cave Run Lake with 25 anglers competing in the event.
Cave Run Lake in Morehead Ky. was at summer pool with clear to lightly stained water on the entire lake and a water temperature around 80 to 85 degrees.
Weather for the tournament was great with mostly sunny skies, light winds and an air temperature around 85 to 90 degrees.
The fishing was good, with every angler weighing fish. The fish were caught in 5 to 10 feet of water on the main lake as well as in the pockets and creeks.
The main pattern for this tournament was to fish soft plastic baits, worms or crawdad imitations around grass. Finesse fishing with small worms accounted for most of the fish weighed in. Total fish weighed in was 89.36 lbs.

2nd —Brandon Staten —- (5 fish) 7.03 lbs.

4th —Lacy Edmiston —- (5 fish) 5.51 lbs.

6th —Johnny Webb —- (5 fish) 5.45 lbs.
7th —Steve Cullop —- (5 fish) 4.96 lbs.
8th —Justin Cullop —- (5 fish) 4.71 lbs.
9th —Mike Cullop —- (5 fish) 4.35 lbs.
10th —Lynn Fields —- (5 fish) 4.14 lbs.
